Nissan GT-R Gets VR700 Horsepower Package from Vivid Racing
Press release from: Vivid Racing
Vivid Racing has just finished the installation of their VR700 horsepower package into a red Nissan GT-R at their Gilbert, Arizona facility. The VR700 package includes the Agency Power valvetronic exhaust system. This exhaust allows it to be controlled via a remote, switching between the loud and quiet modes. In addition, the Agency Power mid pipe, and catless Agency Power downpipes have been added. The full exhaust system really helps the GT-R run through the gears without any hesitation or turbo lag.
More power comes from the Agency Power high flow intercooler pipes, and this kit opted for the Cobb Tuning short ram intakes. A short ram air intake, also called a short air ram intake or a short ram cold air intake, can improve the performance of a vehicle by increasing horsepower and torque. Short ram intake systems supply large volumes of air to the engine to create that extra horsepower and make the engine compartment look like it’s race ready.
Tying everything together is the Cobb AccessPort, which is the best plug and play tuning solution for any Nissan GT-R. It is the most user friendly reprogramming device for a vehicle’s computer. The provided mapping will optimize the air/fuel ratio and ignition timing and remove the speed limiter. The AccessPort allows for reading of any of the DTC (trouble) codes on the various computers on the GT-R as well as clear them out of memory.
On the exterior, a full Seibon Carbon Fiber lip kit was added. The front lip spoiler, side skirts, and rear lip spoiler make up this package. They give the car more downforce and better stability at higher rates of speed.
This Nissan GT-R will leave the others behind without question.
Vivid Racing is a multi-million dollar small business in the automotive aftermarket industry. They have been featured in almost every magazine about their business and cars they have built. Vivid Racing has also built several demo cars including some for Pepsi/Mazda and Cusco/Subaru.
