The Well-Reputed ITIL Process Model Now With Official ITIL®-2011 Licence
Press release from: IT Process Maps GbR
Pfronten, 2nd April 2012.
IT Process Maps, located in Germany’s south and specialized in the development of process models for the IT organization, has again obtained the APMG accreditation: Their products have once again been awarded the "ITIL® Licensed Product" logo.
A significant milestone in the update of the renowned ITIL Process Model to ITIL® 2011 and ISO/IEC 20000:2011 has been reached.
As one of the final steps in the adaptation to the current version of ITIL and ISO 20000, the ITIL® Process Map including its supplement for ISO20000 projects, i.e. the ITIL® – ISO 20000 Bridge, were assessed by APM Group Ltd in an official review.
During this review, a qualified independent expert verified the products’ technical quality and correctness and their compliance with the Cabinet Office recommendations.
"Our ITIL V3 2011 Edition and ISO/IEC 20000:2011 compatible product versions have also obtained the highly sought-after "ITIL® Licensed Product" logo" says Stefan Kempter, owner-manager of IT Process Maps.
"The fact that we have successfully passed the APMG review represents a high recognition for our team. Most importantly, however, our customers will have the benefits:
Everyday experience shows that the pressure to succeed put on IT organizations is growing. Users of IT services expect reliability and service orientation – at favorable prices. The efficiency of business processes and to an increasing extent also certifications are a decisive competitive advantage.
As a result, many companies decide to improve their IT Service Management processes on the basis of a sound ITIL framework. And they decide to use our ITIL Process Model which has proven to offer them consistent access to the entire ITIL wealth of experience."
The ITIL® Process Map "translates" ITIL 2011 into an easily comprehensible process model. It demonstrates how ITIL functions and how the individual elements interact. Globally, it helps companies overcome the initial difficulties of launching an ITIL initiative and implementing IT Service Management processes successfully.
The ITIL reference model is entirely compatible with ITIL 2011 and ISO 20000:2011. It fully covers the ITIL standard – the "Service Lifecycle" with its five phases.
The APM Group Ltd. (www.ampgroupltd.com) is a globally operating accreditation and certification institute and the official accreditation organization of the British Cabinet Office. The APMG grants sub-licenses for the use of the Cabinet office trademarks which include ITIL®. During the licensing procedure the technical consistency of all contents of the product to be examined with the principles of the Cabinet Office Best Practice Guidelines are verified.
