Students choose FDM Group as one of the UK’s most popular graduate employers
Press release from: FDM Group
The international IT services provider, FDM Group, has been listed in the prestigious Guardian UK 300 for the first time.
Compiled by Trendence, one of Europe’s leading recruitment research consultancies, with the assistance of university Careers Services nationwide, The Guardian UK 300 is the biggest and most comprehensive student survey conducted in the UK with over 16,000 students taking part.
The survey is a mass student vote on the popularity of almost 1,000 named recruiters across 18 major sectors of work and unlike other surveys, students are able to select the career sectors that interest them thus ensuring only relevant organisations are presented and not just the ‘big brands.’
Upon hearing the news, CEO Rod Flavell said, “We are thrilled to be recognised in The Guardian 300. The fact that we have made it into such an esteemed list is testament to the hard work and commitment of our staff, made all the better coming from student opinions. It is a great motivator in continuing to improve our training programmes and placement opportunities for graduates.”
FDM, the UK’s largest IT graduate employer, prides itself on its unique business model, which offers graduates the opportunity to undertake technical training in a variety of streams from project analysis to Java and .Net development, which is then coupled with a two year placement with one of FDM’s prestigious clients.
FDM has launched the careers of over 3,000 graduates worldwide and has pledged to employ a further 1,000 graduates this year alone.
Rod Flavell comments, “It is an honour to have our dedication to graduates acknowledged. It is our aim to bridge the gap between academia and work experience, and it is great to know graduates recognise what we’re doing. Graduates are the future after all!”
The Guardian UK 300 will be announced on 16th April.
