March 16, 2012, New Milford, CT, USA – Magenta Research, the recognised leader in Pro AV signal extension, distribution and switching, has named Andrew Fliss as U.S. Director of Sales and Patricia Booher as Director of Marketing.

Fliss, who brings with him extensive experience in the Pro AV field, joins Magenta from RT Com, where he served as General Manager. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Aurora Multimedia Corp.

“We are very excited to welcome Andy on board,” said Magenta President John Dace. “His expertise in forecasting sales, managing independent reps and developing new business will help spark a major expansion of Magenta business in the U.S. market.”

Fliss, who reports directly to Dace, added, “Having been in the AV industry for more than 15 years, I’m very familiar with Magenta’s products and their reputation for quality. I’m looking forward to driving sales of Magenta’s proven MultiView and Mondo Matrix Cat 5-based products, as well as the company’s innovative Voyager Series of fiber-optic based extension, distribution and switching products.”

Also reporting to Dace is Director of Marketing Patricia Booher, a veteran of 20 years in professional AV and consumer electronics. Most recently a writer and marketing consultant for clients in professional video, broadcast production and digital cinema, she has also held key marketing positions with Sharp, Crestron and JVC.

Dace noted, “Patricia’s strategic planning, market development, team building and creative skills, along with her technical focus, will help Magenta further penetrate U.S. and international markets while better serving our growing sales network.”

"I'm delighted to be joining Magenta at a time when the company is poised for dramatic growth," added Booher. "The flexibility and performance of Magenta’s switching and distribution technologies give us a tremendous advantage as large-scale markets like digital signage gather even greater momentum. I’m looking forward to reaffirming Magenta’s industry leadership.”
