PMForum names Matt Piazza as International Project Management Correspondent in Texas

(openPR) - Dallas, Texas – May 29, 2007 — PMForum, Inc announced today that A Matt Piazza has become an International Correspondent for the Company in north Texas. The company is in the midst of forming a Global Correspondents Network to provide project management-related news and information from around the world and to provide PMForum with local representation. PMForum operates www.pmforum.org, the world’s first website devoted to professional project management, and produces the popular monthly online e-Journal PM World Today.

According to managing editor David Pells, “Matt Piazza has over 20 years of experience with professional project management, is a well known leader in the PM professional field in north Texas, and is a Microsoft Project expert. He is exactly the type of professional leader and expert that we want to have representing us in various regions of the world.”

A Matt Piazza, MBA, PMP, is principal consultant for Delta Solutions, a project management consultancy specializing in project management office (PMO) and enterprise project management (EPM) services. Matt has over 20 years experience in professional project management. . He has a B.S. in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University and an MBA from Southern Methodist University in the USA. His career includes project analyst for ADP Network Services, providing technical support on defense and IT projects; project management consultant for Texas Instruments for defense and IT projects; program controls analyst for Raytheon (E-Systems at the time) on defense projects; business manager at the Superconducting Super Collider Laboratory, a major US Department of Energy program; PMO manager for EDS; PMO Director for Omnicom (Rapp Collins Worldwide-MTG at the time); and project manager, EPM/PMO consultant and MS Project Enterprise trainer for Delta Solutions’ clients across the USA, including city fire, police and other municipal departments.

Matt passed the Project Management Professional (PMP®) (#640) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI®) in 1991. Matt helped launch the DFW chapter of PMI in the 1980s, serving as chapter president for two years. He is a founder and former President of the DFW Chapter of the Microsoft Project Association (MPA) formerly the Microsoft Project Users Group (MPUG). In 2001, he earned his Microsoft certification as Project 2000 Expert. In 2004, he earned his Microsoft Project 2003 Black Belt from the International Institute for Learning (IIL). He is a project management expert, a Microsoft Project Enterprise solutions expert, and has been an active supporter of the PM profession in Texas for many years.
