No time for sport? The right time management is important
Press release from: Omron Healthcare
PR Agency: Team Werbelabel
"I just don’t have time to exercise." Many people have a tight schedule every day: work, shopping, household, meet with friends, spending time with the family and eventually have some rest for themselves. Apparently there is no time to follow a sportive activity. The right balance between everyday life and sport depends on the inner attitude and a consequent time management. In contrast to television, computer or telephone, sport isn’t a so-called “time thief”, but keeps fit, is fun and strengthens the health.
There is no doubt that in addition to an 8 - to 10-hour working day it is difficult to find enough space for leisure. Therefore it is important to plan these precious hours correctly. With the aid of a time schedule, it is possible to fix in advance, when something has to be done. In general, it’s important to set priorities and to be sure about which tasks are important and which are unimportant. Important (and sometimes unpleasant) things should be done immediately and not be postponed. To watch the favourite show on television in the evening, a visit to the gym or jogging should be placed in the morning or just choose another evening. Distractions and the occasional disability to say “no” sometimes mess up the own schedule. The intention to go for a run at 18 o’clock should be taken as seriously as the getting up in the morning to get to work in time.
A positive attitude and plenty of rest
The most important element for a good time management is the inner attitude. At work we are doing our best to achieve certain goals. Therefore it is also reasonable to set oneself specific goals in the sport and work on these consistently – after all a sense of achievement is the best motivation to keep going. Who runs regularly is able to participate in running events such as a half marathon or a 10-kilometer run. With a goal like this, training is always worth it. Who wants to lose a few pounds can also work with a time goal. To be fully efficient, sufficient rest periods are essential. Enough sleep, breaks at work and a little rest in between is important to keep body and soul in balance. Friends and family should be involved in the personal time management as well.
More motivation with the JogStyle
There will always be a time when the inner temptation is stronger than the personal motivation. In these moments it is advisable to, at least, go for a walk and blast off again the next day. The JogStyle of Omron not only presents the personal performance during the training, but is able to control and optimize the own physical activity in everyday life.
