(openPR) - MUNDOLSHEIM, FRANCE -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 29, 2007 -- Gatekeeper Systems SAS, the European subsidiary of California-based Gatekeeper Systems, Inc., announces its expansion with the acquisition of the coin lock and integrated advertising handle product lines from the world´s second largest manufacturer, Valencia, Spain-based Hipersystems, S.I.
Included in the acquisition were System Park and SystMetal, trolley coin locks, as well as SystConfort, a line of ergonomic, integrated trolley advertising handles. The integration of these products further aids in the growth strategy which offers a diverse selection of trolley products to retailers.
The System Park and SystMetals´ key competitive advantage of superior durability and a low life cost were pivotal in Gatekeeper´s decision to acquire the lines. Retailers using the systems reported they were pleased with the effectiveness and the systems´ rapid return on investment.
SystConfort combines the coin lock system with an ergonomically, customer friendly trolley handle that improves comfort and trolley control and allows advertisements to be displayed. This out of the box thinking for the basic trolley affords consumers an easy to grip handle that offers superior comfort and ultimately an enhanced shopping experience. In addition, the handle provides retailers a point of differentiation from other retailers.
