NewSat CEO To Announce Satellite Communications Award

NewSat CEO Adrian Ballintine will be present at the 2012 World Teleport Association's Teleport Awards for Excellence ceremony to announce the winner of this year's Teleport Executive Award. The ceremony will be held on March 13 during the Satellite 2012 Conference at Walter E. Washington Convention Centre, Washington, DC, USA. NewSat, Australia's largest locally owned teleport and satellite communications provider, will sponsor the luncheon.
Ballintine was the winner of the 2011 Teleport Awards of Excellence. The prestigious award honors innovators and telecommunications leaders who manage to address the industry's most pressing problems through exceptional entrepreneurial skills, creative thinking and strong leadership.
Ballintine is one of the original founders of NewSat. Under his leadership, the satellite communications company has exceeded industry standards. He is credited for keeping the company's customer retention rate at 99% and teleport uptime rate at 100%.
NewSat was originally founded as a software company, but eventually turned into a teleport and satellite service provider. It now serves local and multi-national companies with a wide range of products and services encompassing 8 vertical sectors.

The Corporate Social Responsibility Award - This will be the first time that WTA will confer this award, which recognizes satellite communications companies for their charitable and social works in the fields of health, education, peace and order and public safety.
