Protecode Announces Tools to Accelerate Embedded Development in German Market
Protecode System 4TM addresses license management at different stages of a software development process, implementing an end-to-end solution for a complete Open Source Software Adoption Process (OSSAP). Complexity of software design within the embedded space has increased exponentially and Protecode’s solutions allow developers to speed up development with the use of managed open source software.

There is an insatiable interest in simple tools that allow detection and management of obligations associated with open source licenses such as Gnu Public License (GPL). New capabilities in the latest release of Protecode System 4 include full integration of the Software Package Data Exchange (SPDX) standard, with the ability to detect, read and interpret SPDX files in a software package. The latest release also features improved productivity tools such as complex search capabilities, automated license text creation for software distribution, new reporting options, and the ability to add client’s proprietary software to the reference database.
