Thompson & Knight Partner Named to Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse Board of Directors

Dallas (February 27, 2012) – The law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce Partner Matthew P. Harper has been named to the Board of Directors of the Greater Dallas Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse. Harper will serve a three-year term on the Board.
Harper is a Partner in Thompson & Knight’s Intellectual Property Practice Group in Dallas. He focuses his practice on intellectual property, complex commercial litigation, trade secret litigation, technology, and business counseling, primarily in the area of computer hardware, software, telecommunications, and the Internet. Harper has litigated cases in federal courts throughout the country and at the International Trade Commission. He is actively involved in numerous professional organizations, including the Dallas Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, New York State Bar Association, and the American Intellectual Property Law Association.
Founded in 1946, the Greater Dallas Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse serves as the foremost community-based organization in North Texas offering substance abuse prevention and intervention services.
