FarStone Launches New Hard Disk Imaging Product Suite

IT, New Media & Software
Press release from: FarStone Technology
(openPR) - DriveClone disk-imaging product suite offers cost-effective data backup and recovery for consumers and small businesses

IRVINE, CA — March 12, 2007 -- FarStone Technology has developed a new suite of disk imaging and data backup software targeting small business users. The DriveClone (www.farstone.com/software/driveclone.htm) product suite includes versions for work stations, servers, networks, and system builders.

Products combine FarStone's RestoreIT data disaster technology with expanded disk imaging functionality. The software performs complete and incremental backups within Windows, and a new snapshot feature automatically creates incremental backups at assigned intervals.

FarStone already supplies data backup and hard disk imaging solutions to Intel, Trend Micro, AOL, Phoenix Technologies, Seagate, and other leading technology companies.

Many disk imaging tools are designed for highly technical users, or are easy to use but incomplete. The DriveClone suite is meant to fill the gap with a powerful but user-friendly disk imaging, cloning, and data recovery solution.

ABOUT THE DRIVECLONE SUITE

The DriveClone suite includes desktop or workstation versions of DriveClone 3 and DriveClone 3 Pro.

DriveClone 3 Pro (www.farstone.com/software/driveclone.htm) incorporates a component that automatically creates system snapshots at pre-determined intervals. These snapshots are stored in a secure area of a computer's hard drive and can be easily accessed when a data disaster occurs, enabling a user to quickly roll back an entire system to a known “good point.” The technology is ideal for workers in the field or for users who may not have access to technical assistance.

DriveClone 3 Pro also includes File Version Recovery, allowing users to recover automatically saved versions of personal files that may have been deleted or overwritten.

DriveClone System Recovery is a customizable disk imaging solution for system builders. It creates a factory image that allows end-users to quickly restore their systems to an original factory state.

DriveClone Network offers remote access to clients PCs and is designed to enable remote or local system recovery for any configured system on a LAN.
