“March Madness” Comes to Save-A-Pet

(Port Jefferson Station, NY) — Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue and Adoption Center, Inc. is celebrating “March Madness.” For the month of March, Save-A-Pet is waiving the adoption fee for certain cats and dogs, and offering cat spays and neuters at its neighboring C.L.I.F.F.S. Clinic for the discounted price of $50. The price also includes a rabies and distemper vaccine. Dog spays and neuters are also offered at a discounted fee. (Spays and neuters are by appointment only.)

Each week, Save-A-Pet is offering certain animals for adoption at no charge, with an emphasis on different animals each week. The schedule is as follows:

● Mad Catter Tea Party (March 1-10) — free adoptions of all cats over two years old.

● St Catrick’s Day and Erin Go Bark (March 11-17) — adult cats are $17.00, free adoptions of all dogs over three years old.

● Lucky Black Cats (March 18-24) — free adoptions of Save-A-Pet’s seven lucky black cats.

● “A” List Weekend (March 25-31) — free adoptions of Save-A-Pet’s “A” list dogs, Murray, Brownie and Princess. All are seniors and want to be loved, too!

All cats and dogs are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, treated with a flea preventative and tested for parasites. All cats are tested for Feline Leukemia Virus and the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, and all dogs are heartworm tested. All potential adoptees must have approved applications.

Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue Inc. was established in 1994 and is located in Port Jefferson Station. Save-A-Pet works with The Town of Brookhaven Animal Shelter, to place homeless animals into new homes with loving families. All of the animals that come to Save-A-Pet are spayed, neutered, tested for diseases and vaccinated. Prospective adopters are thoroughly screened and matched with the most suitable pet for them and their family. Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue is a non-profit, no-kill shelter and is a safe haven for all of the animals that enter it.
