Leading integrator SCC has announced the success of its application for a framework agreement for the provision of G-Cloud services.

Following a comprehensive public tender process the Government Procurement Service has granted SCC’s application to offer G-Cloud services in four categories, including Infrastructure (IaaS) Services, Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) and Specialist Cloud Services.

Europe’s largest independent technology solutions provider believes that the success of its tender can be ascribed to a combination of its long-term investment in cloud technology and the strategic advantage of operating one of the UK’s most advanced data centres.

“We’re delighted to have been awarded a framework agreement covering all four of the categories that we applied for. SCC has been at the forefront of cloud computing for some time and we’ve established a track record of investing ahead of the curve, so this announcement serves as a vindication of that strategy,” said Tracy Westall, SCC’s UK Public Sector Director.

“G-Cloud is a concerted effort to enable the kind of technology initiatives that will help the government deliver services faster, better and cheaper, and we’re proud to be playing a role in that mission.”

SCC Chief Technology Officer Rhys Sharp added: “The strategic value of operating from a secure, environmentally friendly facility within the UK is not to be underestimated. We look forward to working with a range of companies from multinational corporations to SMEs to help public sector organisations select and implement the services they need to help make Britain better.”
