(openPR) - Eveden Group, a hugely successful £90 million turnover UK company and the UK’s largest lingerie and swimwear design and manufacturer, based in Desborough, Northamptonshire, has recently benefitted from an upgrade to their SyscomERP business software system - a modern and flexible Enterprise Resource Planning solution, specifically designed for textile and apparel companies, that will continue to help them to grow and diversify their business across the group.

The Eveden Group, through its Unity Brands operation, has thousands of customers around the world and regularly supplies companies like Harrods, Debenhams, John Lewis, Next and Selfridges. They have been using Syscom software throughout their business for over 10 years, including their manufacturing operations in the UK and overseas. In 2010, they added the French lingerie and swim wear brand Huit to their product portfolio and continue to grow rapidly.

At the Head Office in Desborough, Eveden use Syscom’s Product Development Management (PDM) for managing the product development process and samples are produced. “The implementation went smoothly”, recalled Bill Phelan, Head of Group IT. “SyscomERP helps us to manage our vital information and collaborate with the product teams and our suppliers world-wide reducing the need for emails or spread sheets. It also handles BOM’s and costing’s efficiently”. Once a design is approved, Eveden run the full suite of SyscomERP Manufacturing including Bill of Materials, Production Activity Control, Manufacturing Resource Planning and Warehouse Control.

Bill Phelan said, “SyscomERP gives us total integration across our manufacturing and distribution operations both here in the UK and worldwide”. He continued, “The upgrade to version 7.0 of SyscomERP software was carried out over a weekend and 214 million records were updated as part of the change”. He continued, “Prior to the upgrade, we reported several issues that were identified during detailed system testing and they were very quickly resolved by Syscom”. Immediately following the upgrade, Syscom provided on-site support for the first two days. “In truth, we experienced very few issues”, commented Bill. “We did not suffer any actual downtime, as all the work was done outside of normal working hours and we started business as planned at 7.30 am on the Monday morning”. Eveden are now planning to test phase two of the project, which is to roll out implementations across the group worldwide.
