It’s quite likely that the much awaited iPad 3 will make its debut in March this year. Apple follows a fairly strict schedule for updating its products. The first generation of iPad was launched in March 2010. A year later, iPad 2 made its debut on Wednesday 2nd March. If the rumor mill is to be believed, iPad 3 will be launched on 7th March this year, which is again a Wednesday and will be open for retail sale a week later. Though no official conformation is made yet, the industry analysts have fleet of predictions for the third generation of iPad.

Apple doesn’t reveal anything about its products before the official release. The spokesperson of the company declines to comment on the timing of iPad 3 launch and its features. None the less, based on the market situations and the track of technological innovation breakthroughs of Apple in the past, iPad 3 is predicted to have a quad-core A6 chip and 4G networking capabilities which will make it extremely responsive and an amazing gadget for multitasking. iPad 3 users might also be able to chat with SIRI, Apple’s personal voice assistant.

iPad analyst at OpenXcell Technolabs, Ms. Himani says, “Apple products have always stirred a controversy around them. What’s more interesting is unlike its previous versions; iPad 3 will face stiff competition from small sized tablets, especially Kindle Fire. If Apple decides to launch the new tablet with smaller screen to wipe out competition, it will significantly impact the iPad app development process and may give rise to issues of backward compatibility.” OpenXcell Technolabs is a premier mobile app development company in India and has developed some of the most downloaded iPad apps on the app store.

While the world anxiously awaited iPhone 5, Mr. Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, send a wave of surprise by postponing its launch and unveiled iPhone 4S instead in October last year. Industry analysts have their expectations that the company might launch iPad HD with retina display rather than an all-new iPad 3.

Ms. Himani expressing her concerns says, “There are some serious challenges that Apple needs to address before the launch. Pricing tops the list. iPad clones from Dell, Samsung and others might not allow Apple to milk the market just as before.”

The first glimpse of iPad 3 will supposedly be put up in an event at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco which is Apple’s usual location for new announcements.

OpenXcell Technolabs is an ISO 9001:2008 certified mobile app development company specializing in developing niche-specific iPad apps for media, education, sports, travel, social networking and medical purpose.
