New Homes Launched in Essex as Part of Regeneration Scheme

(openPR) - A home builder has launched hundreds of luxury new apartments as part of a £2 billion regeneration scheme being rolled out in Basildon.

Weston Homes launched 425 new homes for sale in Essex at their Morello Quarter development located in Basildon. The properties consist of one and two bedroom apartments and are located close to the town centre. The new homes will appeal to a range of buyers including commuters, young professionals, first-time buyers and investment buyers who can benefit from the strong rental market in the area.

The new flats in Essex form part of the `More Basildon’ regeneration scheme which will see the transformation of the Basildon area ahead of the London 2012 Olympic Games. A new training camp for the Olympic Games will be built as well as a total number of 112 new homes. The Olympic training camp will also give local communities access to a range of leisure and sports facilities including a gymnastics training centre, athletic and running track and an Olympic size swimming pool.

The regeneration scheme will give the Basildon area a complete overhaul. Refurbishment plans will provide Basildon town centre with major new facilities including a college, marketplace and cinema. A further 2000 new homes in Essex which incorporates a range of affordable housing for local residents are also included in the regeneration plans.

The new apartments feature integrated kitchen appliances, ensuite bathrooms, communal and landscaped gardens and allocated car parking spaces. The new apartments are located close to Basildon rail station and major road routes. There are also many leisure activities nearby including Basildon Golf Course, Gloucester Park and Basildon Sports centre.

Weston Homes also build new homes in Kent, East Sussex , Hertfordshire and Surrey.

Prices start from £129,000.
