Both large settlements reported by Missouri Lawyers Media in their annual list of top verdicts and settlements were the result of bad faith claims against insurance companies for wrongfully denying insurance claims or failing to settle claims in good faith. The second case, Tatlow, Gump, Faiella and Wheelan LLC and Co-Counsel Branson L. Wood III, of Hannibal recovered $3,000,000 from Savers Property and Casualty Insurance Company after it improperly denied the claims against its insured.
