Press release from: QUBYX Software Technologies Inc.

Penn Medicine, a leading patient care provider in Pennsylvania, USA, has purchased more than one hundred licenses of PerfectLum version 3.0 to perform calibration and quality assurance on medical displays.

Wilmington, DE, USA, February 07, 2012 -- QUBYX PerfectLum software, designed for medical display calibration and quality assurance, is again successfully applied to improve imaging quality of professional monitors. Penn Medical healthcare system, a PerfectLum user since 2009, has decided to enlarge the installation and upgrade the existing installation of the software to the new version 3.0 on diagnostic workstations.

PerfectLum software is designed to perform DICOM, Gamma and CIE L* calibration on medical monitors. By using professional calibration software, medical imaging practitioners improve the quality of reproduced images, and thus the accuracy of their diagnoses. Penn Medicine healthcare system consists of hospitals and patient care centers throughout the region of Philadelphia, specializing in areas including diagnostic imaging. To ensure the highest accuracy in reviewing and diagnostics of medical images, Penn Medicine has been utilizing PerfectLum software.

“Penn Medicine was very helpful for us in the development of version 3 of PerfectLum. Penn Medicine is more than a customer and user for QUBYX. The University of Pennsylvania provided us with valuable feedback that helped to improve our product.” says Marc Leppla, Director of QUBYX.

The new upgraded version of PerfectLum will ensure even more confidence in the quality of their images for radiology practitioners of Penn Medicine. PerfectLum 3.0 Suite is not only a calibration software, but a quality assurance tool as well. PerfectLum 3.0 Suite performs acceptance and constancy tests to such key industry standards, as AAPM TG18, DIN 6868-57, JESRA X-0093, IEC 62563-1, as well as conformance tests to DICOM GSDF standard. In addition to this, the upgraded version allows a much faster and higher-quality calibration along with a user-friendlier interface and more detailed calibration reports as compared to version 2.0. New features like display consistency check were added. Moreover, version 3.0 is considerably safer, with its automatic database back up, password-protected preferences and LUT security. Besides, PerfectLum version 3.0 supports more models of displays and measurement devices than its predecessor, which will assure easy integration with medical imaging systems of Penn Medicine.
