(openPR) - The Travelife certification is an internationally recognized Award for hotels and other tourism related business which have attained high standards of environmental management.

In the Travelife -Sustainable tourism concept, hotels are scored Bronze, Silver or Gold depending on the degree of their environmental commitment. The award is given after an on-site inspection by health and safety auditors, followed by a series of questions to ensure that the benchmarks and criteria established are met.

Due to the high commitment to sustainability by encouraging others to get involved and constantly seeking new opportunities for improvement our 3 Hotels SUNRISE Select Garden Beach Resort & Spa, SUNRISE Select Mamlouk Palace Resort & Spa and SUNRISE Select Royal Makadi Resort have achieved this amazing result. The environmental policy, the respect of local culture, reduction of energy consumption, water saving and the use of local products are the main points for the management of our Hotels.

The SUNRISE philosophy is based on three main pillars: Quality, hygiene and environmental protection. Our own quality department for all our Resorts and Cruises, guarantees a constant high standard by conducting for example a monthly control incl. guest interviews and mystery-guest visits, complaint management and regular employee trainings. As well we are working together with “Cristal Middle East”, an international company based in England, which is controlling our Resorts and Cruises on a monthly basis to ensure a constantly high hygienic level. In addition to that, cooperation with “Earth Check” and “Travel Life” has been formed in order for our Resorts and Cruises to efficiently protect the environment from any other company in Egypt.

In July 2003, SUNRISE Resorts & Cruises has been founded by the partners Hossam Gouda El Shaer, businessman with a long touristic experience in Egypt, and Thomas Cook / Neckermann, based in Oberursel / Germany. The two partners developed SUNRISE Resorts & Cruises to be one of the leading hotel cooperation in Egypt. The target is to create a high quality product for the fast growing tourism market in Egypt, which fulfills the international guests’ requirements. Additionally, SUNRISE Resorts & Cruises is the hotel management company of Festival Hotels & Resorts and SENTIDO Hotels & Resorts.
Cosmopolitan, hospitable, individual, open minded, the personalized service, the exquisite culinary cuisine and the ambience suitable to the landscape around, all this characterizes our own and managed Resorts & Cruises. All these features will be our main concern for any further development of our company.
