Prude has obtained Board Certification by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (“TBLS”) in Labor and Employment Law. An induction ceremony and reception will be held on February 17 in Austin, Texas.

Prude is an Associate in Thompson & Knight’s Labor & Employment Practice Group in the Firm’s Dallas office. He represents management exclusively in all aspects of labor and employment law. He regularly represents employers in employment-discrimination, wage-and-hour, and non-competition litigation, and counsels clients on employment-related matters such as workplace investigations, employee classification issues, leave issues, requests for accommodations, and other personnel matters.

Prude is a member of the American Bar Association, Dallas Young Lawyers Association, and the Society for Human Resource Management. He received his J.D. from The University of Texas school of Law in 2005, and was a member of the Texas Law Review and the Order of the Coif. Prude received his B.S., with honors, from Abilene Christian University in 2002. He is admitted to practice in Texas.

TBLS was established in 1974 by the Supreme Court of Texas at the request of the State Bar of Texas to “promote the availability, accessibility and quality of the services of attorneys to the public in particular areas of the law… and advance the standards of the legal profession.” It is the only governing board authorized to certify attorneys in legal specialty areas. There are more than 70,000 attorneys licensed to practice in Texas, and only 7,000 have earned the right to be publicly recognized as Board Certified specialists in one of the 21 select areas of law.
