Prasaad Premieres at European Film Market During Berlin Film Festival

(openPR) - Mumbai, India - Prasaad, produced by Ashok Khenny, has been picked up by the Mumbai-based company Bombay Berlin. Next month the film has its world premiere during the European Film Market, which takes place in tandem with the Berlin Film Festival. Bombay-Berlin, the film's rep, is co-owned by Katharina Suckale, Abhijeet Singh Baghel and Arfi Lamba, who appeared in the Academy Award-winning film Slumdog Millionaire.
Prasaad, which in Hindi means a gracious gift, tells the dramatic story of a man who desires two things in life, to win the lottery and to have a son. His wife gives birth to a boy and later the little boy wins the lottery. The film is a magical tale of an 8-year-old deaf boy who fights and overcomes his physical handicap only to be confronted with tragedy.
The film features Arjun Sarja, who has starred in hundreds of films, Madhuri Bhattacharya, who starred in the Indian version of Sex and the City, and marks the film debut of child actor Sankalp Jha.
