California College San Diego Opens New Branch Campus in San Marcos, CA

Press release from: California College San Diego
(openPR) - San Diego, CA, Jan. 23, 2012 — After firmly establishing its presence in America’s “finest city,” San Diego, California College San Diego has expanded its reach by opening a new branch campus in San Marcos, California.

Also known as a satellite campus, a branch campus is a facility that’s detached from the main campus of a college and is usually smaller in size.

The purpose of a branch campus is to cater to students who cannot travel too far away from their homes to attend school due to their other commitments. Typically, a branch campus offers the same programs that are available at the main campus of a college.

Located in northern San Diego County, California College San Diego’s impressive three-story structure at San Marcos is equipped with six classrooms, one laboratory, four interview rooms, and several administrative offices.

In addition to these facilities, students at San Marcos have also been provided with a Wi-Fi–enabled study lounge, complete with computer systems set up exclusively for their use. In fact, the entire campus has been Wi-Fi enabled for the convenience of the students.

Currently, the San Marcos facility offers a range of associate’s and bachelor’s programs in business, healthcare, and information technology. Some of the popular programs available at this branch campus include:

• AOS in Business Management and Accounting
• AOS in Medical Specialties
• AOS in Computer Programming
• BS in Accounting
• BS in Business Administration
• BS in Healthcare Administration
• BS in Computer Science
• BS in Nursing Administration

The typical length of an associate’s degree at California College San Diego is 15 to 20 months, while that of a bachelor’s program is 30 to 36 months. Some of these programs are also available online through California College San Diego’s affiliate Stevens-Henager College, Salt Lake City/Murray, Utah.
