Europa SIM-Card: Mobile Internet in 33 EU Countries for 6 Euros per day

Europa SIM-Card: Mobile Internet in 33 EU Countries for 6 Euros per day

Thanks to the diffusion of smartphones, tablets, UMTS modems and Mifi, there has been a significant increase in the usage of mobile internet during the last years.
However, this new technology has had a dark side due to the very high roaming fees, which have often led to significant expenses for the customer.
The EU has imposed a cost limit for data transfer in roaming.

However, this limit only refers to the price operators can agree on between themselves on the whole sale side, meaning that there is still enough buffer to pass on the costs to the end customer.
The only restriction operators are facing is the imposition of a monthly default cut-off for data roaming of 50 €.

This limit also applies only to EU telecom providers and leaves travelers and tourist visiting Europe from abroad with no cost protection.

There are already several offers with a standard price per MB for all Europe, which is good for short connections to the internet. However, this can still lead to very high bills if a customer stays constantly connected.

Europasim.com offers a standard tariff for 33 countries in the EU: 6 € per day with 150 MB included.
The price per MB is therefore € 0.04
For Italy, the tariff is 2 € per day with 500 MB included.
In this case the price per MB is € 0.004.
The prepaid SIM-Card needs no contract with fixed costs and eliminates the risk of getting exorbitant bills.

The offer with 150 MB per day allows a comfortable usage without significant constraints.

An example for data consumption of different services:

• E-mail (text only): 20 KB
• E-mail with attachment (Photo, Word, Excel): 300 KB
• Website: 200 KB
• 1 minute Music-streaming: 500 KB
• 1 minute Youtube-streaming: 2 MB

This is an example of how a data exchange could look like with 150 MB/day:

• Send and receive 50 e-mails (text only)
• Send and receive 30 e-mails with attachment or upload 30 photos
• Visit 150 websites
• Update the status on a social network or tweet 20 times a day

Established in 2006, Saveonroaming.net, parent company of Europasim, has become a major solution provider suitable for business travelers, as well as tourists that want to be mobile in many European countries.
Currently the offer covers Europe, Germany and Italy
