(openPR) - We wrote an article in 2010 about a new London based rubbish removal company set up to limited the amount of waste send to landfill. Kwik Sweep have now won an award as is the only junk removal company in London that collected toys from households free over the Christmas period to be reused or recycled.

Those numbers are quite incredible aren't they? Kwik Sweep were pretty shocked when reading them especially as their aims to limit the amount of waste sent to landfill. They might be ethical toys but they're not ethical if they are discarded into our landfills when a child has grown out of them.

Christmas is a time of giving to those less fortunate then ourselves, so as your children grow out their toys it will be nice to givethem to those who can reuse them.

Kwik Sweep collects all types of toys including board games and computer games/consoles to name a few.

This year 2011/12 Kwik Sweep have donated 500kg of toys, which is roughly about 2 large van worth. Kwik Sweep sales supervisor Lim said "This is three times as much as last year, hopefully next year will be better". Most of toys collected are donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital, hospices and local charities.
