GeoSIM Global SIM Card Rescues Canadian Roaming Customers
Press release from: Geodesa
(openPR) - GeoSIM, the specialist international SIM card supplier has come to the rescue of around two thousand Canadian travelers using their mobile phones whilst traveling abroad.
GeoSIM has adopted customers of a Vancouver based company who suspended their roaming SIM card service on January 11th
Customers of the Canadian company would have suffered loss of their mobile phone service and risked losing call credit had GeoSIM not stepped in to help out and keep the service running.
Ed Neal, Managing Director of Geodesa Limited, who distribute GeoSIM Global Sim Card says, “Everyone knows how inconvenient it is when you are unable to use your mobile. It’s bad enough when this happens at home, but when you are travelling abroad, staying in touch with home and the office is vital. Customers of the Canadian company would have been extremely inconvenienced and would have lost a lot on money had GeoSIM not come to their assistance.”
In conjunction with the Canadian company, GeoSIM put in place a process to adopt customers seamlessly allowing users to keep their phone number, call credit and service operational with minimal fuss and disruption.
Mr Neal says, “We are experienced in this type of situation. Over the last few years GeoSIM has come to the aid of customers of a number of Global SIM providers who have either gone out of business or stopped providing the service their customers paid for. In the past six years I have seen a number of Global SIM providers come and go. In some cases GeoSIM is able to help out, but not always. It’s difficult for the customer to choose the right company, but in my experience it is often the “start ups” that disappear as quickly as they came on the scene”
In 2010, GeoSIM adopted customers from a German company who ceased trading leaving one thousand customers without use of their SIM cards.
GeoSIM is an MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) established in 2005. Ed set up the company after he ran up some huge mobile phone bills whilst working overseas in the offshore telecommunications industry. The company was one of the first Global SIM card providers and distributes its products and services from its website and through a chain of affiliates, resellers and dealers based in the UK, USA, Cyprus, Lebanon, Nigeria and Israel.
GeoSIM is used by companies and individuals to reduce mobile phone roaming charges by up to 85% for voice, SMS or data calls.
Geodesa communications was formed in 2005 and specialises in provision of telecoms products and services. Geodesa’s GeoSIM global SIM card allows international travelers to avoid high voice and data roaming charges and receive calls for free on their mobile phone.
