SIDI 2012 Focus is on Saudization

Saudi Innovation, Diversification & Investment (SIDI) 2012 will take place under the Esteemed Support of H.E. Dr Tawfig Al-Rabiah, Minister of Commerce & Industry. The event is taking place at the Al Faisaliah Hotel, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on 25-27 March 2012. SIDI will focus on ‘industry led job creation’, the role of the private sector and the incentives and opportunities being implemented by the Government and stakeholders.
The SIDI programme will focus on Saudization and developing talent and innovation within the country. Key topics include: Strategies promoting job creation; Talent, leadership & development; Economic growth & diversification; Establishing the role of the SME; Saudi Arabia's economy; Main areas for diversification; Government strategy and policy to unleash full potential of the economy; and The role of universities in maximising technology, talent and innovation.
The Forum and Exhibition is fully supported by HH Dr Turki Al Saud, Vice President for Research Institutes at KACST, as well as Ahmed Abdulkarim, CEO of the Cadre Economic City who is responsible for the manpower development that will form the backbone of the multibillion dollar Economic City developments at the heart of the Kingdom’s economic strategy. Saudi Aramco is also playing a key role both in the ‘Entrepreneurship 101’ Workshop and within the forum main agenda which will directly promote partnerships and cluster development.
SIDI will focus on industrial development and local content strategies that will add real commercial value to the private sector and that will diversify the economic outlook of the Kingdom. SIDI looks at how localisation strategies directly impact technology transfer and the development of talent and leadership.
