Transforming Organisational Performance

Transforming Organisational Performance

The world has changed & continues to change, especially through the advent of new technologies in the world of business.

Most, if not all of the world's leading organisations have a matured strategic view on this technological transformation and have employed tools derived from the changing technological landscape into their own organisations. This in turn has led to greater value through increased customer interaction & satisfaction, flexible communication, enhanced employee efficiency via remote accessibility & so much more.

Where the world of business has not changed so much is typically with regards to the small to medium business sector.

For IT companies that target their strategy on SME technological improvement to succeed in convincing the SMEs on their value propositions, they have to really identify why their prospective client is in the state they are currently in, why they need a new IT solution and more importantly why at this stage in the overall historical timeline of technological development do they need a new IT solution?

Could it be due to the fact that they (the SMEs) are not comfortable with this change and only really get a new IT solution if there is an immediate requirement for one?

Well, in short that is often the case. There are also a number of other reasons such as not having time to explore new technologies, already being comfortable in current position, no IT experience, old mindsets etc.

IT companies are really toning things down, better understanding the clients requirements and offering flexibility for the future, so that when the client needs to add a new service they don't need to go through all of the hassle yet again and without all of the technological jargon that just confuses people.

To come onto the point of why at this stage SMEs are looking at new IT services there are a few points to consider;

1) The Recession has forced all of us to think outside the box on how to cut costs without sacrificing quality.

2) IT companies have exhausted business with Tier One organisations and have expanded service offerings in new markets in order to stay competitive.

3) The introduction of technology everywhere you go, improving interaction and changing perceptions on the subject.

4) The visible transformation and overall performance improvement of other SMEs that have taken the technological 'leap of faith'

Which is why IT organisations are prioritising SMEs and succeeding!

There is a still a long road to reach the pinnacle of this trend, but one which IT companies hope will never cease.

-Pinakin Consulting was formed to help companies transform their organisation into a High-Performance Business by looking at the bigger picture to integrate Technology with People, Processes & Projects.
