Total Quality Logistics Hits $1 Billion Annual Sales Mark Based on 35% Gain Over 2010
Press release from: Total Quality Logistics
(openPR) - Freight Brokerage Projects 1,000 New Hires Nationwide in Next Three Years, Created 585 Jobs in 2011
CINCINNATI (December 15, 2011) -- Trucking freight broker Total Quality Logistics (TQL) announced today that it has reached $1 billion in sales for 2011, marking the first time the 14-year-old company has hit the billon-dollar milestone in a single calendar year.
In achieving the billion-dollar breakthrough, TQL has nearly tripled its sales in the past five years while freight movements nationwide remained flat. TQL has moved into third place on the list of the nation’s largest freight brokerage firms based on revenue. The first and second largest firms have been in business for 103 and 48 years, respectively.
“We look forward to additional growth in 2012 as more shippers and carriers become aware of our industry-leading service and our capacity to reliably handle a wide variety of load types,” TQL Executive Vice President Kerry Byrne said.
TQL connects consumer product and industrial goods shippers with truck operators who transport their freight to market destinations. Its 1600-member workforce identifies the right trucks for particular freight loads, negotiates rates and ensures on-time delivery.
TQL added 585 new jobs in 2011. Continued expansion of both the workforce and total number of satellite locations, which currently stands at 10, is planned as TQL serves an increasingly larger share of the full truckload domestic market. The company expects to create new job opportunities for an additional 1,000 employees over the next three years.
Headquartered in Cincinnati, TQL opened satellite offices in 2011 in Dayton and Columbus, OH, Louisville and Lexington, KY, Denver and Indianapolis. Other satellite offices are located in Charleston SC, Charlotte, Chicago, Tampa and Cleveland. TQL services cover freight shipments nationwide.

Comments about openPR
OpenPR ist the nicest and most clearly laid out PR platform I have seen to this day. The press releases are displayed very nicely and clearly and without any unnecessary frills.
The updates are fast and the finished release looks appealing and is clearly legible.
Even with 16 years of experience one discovers new things from time to time.
Congratulations!
