(openPR) - World leading healthcare and natural personal care products manufacturer Dabur International is using transport specialist Rhys Davies Freight Logistics to provide comprehensive daily delivery services to major mainstream and independent retailers and wholesalers throughout the UK and Europe.

Dabur International is the world’s foremost marketer of Ayurvedic and natural products. The 128-year-old company produces over a 1,000 lines including oral, skin and hair care products as well as exotic herbs and other natural medicines.

Product is shipped from the United Arab Emirates and India and transported to Rhys Davies’ Cardiff depot where it is palletised and bar coded in accordance with Dabur’s instructions prior to delivery. Flexibility is a key element in Rhys Davies’ operations, for example, if a customer requires smaller quantities of a certain product, warehouse staff will split packs and re-package to match the order and avoid over delivery. Rhys Davies’ ability and willingness to provide these and other added value services has reduced Dabur’s workload considerably and was an important factor in choosing RDFL as its logistics partner.

Visibility and stock control of Dabur’s extensive product range is crucial to the smooth operation of the sales and distribution process. Using Rhys Davies’ Empirica warehouse management system managers at Dabur are able to view the stock held at the distribution centre online, see what has already been allocated, and check the progress of orders in real time

Deliveries outside the UK are handled by Rhys Davies Freight Forwarding, a division of the company with a network of logistics partners throughout the world.
