Hardfacing Wire Manufacturer Polymet Corporation Will Visit Customers and Distributors in Japan and Korea

(openPR) - CINCINNATI, OH – Polymet Corporation, a leading producer of hardfacing wire, welding wire and thermal spray wire, will be traveling to Japan and South Korea in yearly December 2011 in order to support its aerospace, lumber, valve and thermal spray wire business in these markets. Working together with local distributors and representatives enable the company to expand its global reach and promote its product lines in Asia.
Danny Newman, hot extruded wire sales manager at Polymet who will be traveling to Japan and Korea will be working with companies on the cutting edge of laser welding technology as they use Polymet’s unique ability to produce ultra-fine (0.3mm) cobalt alloys to laser weld micro cracks in aerospace gas turbine engine components. Polymet has supplied alloys like PMET 906, a Stellite 6 equivalent and PMET 994 (PWA 694) into the Japanese laser welding market to repair cracks and defects in components on a small precision scale as well as meet with other distributors and end users of Polymet’s wire.
