NAPERVILLE, IL -- Anyone in the western suburbs of Chicago who is looking for some serious outdoor home remodeling has a chance to win the $20,000 'Ultimate Home Makeover, Exterior Edition' from Opal Enterprises!

Homeowners who wish to enter the contest should take pictures of the things that bother them about their homes and tell a story about what they'd like to do, such as window replacement in Naperville or adding replacement doors in Downers Grove. In addition to the photos, Opal Enterprises wants to hear the story of why the homeowner is unable to complete these projects on his or her own.

"We want to help! We know that times are tough for a number of homeowners in the local area and that's why they're choosing to do home remodeling projects instead of selling and moving to a new home. We're hoping that we can help out someone who's focused on getting their three kids through college, or make a difference for someone who's been laid off because of the economy. We're looking forward to seeing what our contest entrants want to change on their home and we're extremely excited about making the changes," said Tara D. The contest officially begins November 28, 2011 and runs until January 15, 2012. After all the entries are collected, Opal Enterprises will select the top 10 finalists. Each finalist will be featured on a local radio station's website. Listeners will be able to visit the website of 95.9 The River and vote on the homeowner they feel is most deserving. The winner will be announced during the evening drive hour on February 3, 2012. Although only one winner will receive the $20,000 Grand Prize Ultimate Home Makeover Exterior Edition, each of the other nine finalists will receive a $500 gift card from the siding contractors in Lisle to put towards any exterior home remodeling project.

"We're really hoping that we can do something fun for our contest winner, such as installing new windows, putting in replacement doors or replacing the siding. These types of projects can make a big difference on a home's energy efficiency and we want our winner to be able to beautify their home in a way they might not be able to do on their own with products that we would put in our own homes, such as Andersen windows," said Opalski.
