Press release from: Test Research, Inc.
The TR9000 PCB AOI
The TR9000 PCB AOI
[November 29, 2011—Taipei, Taiwan] Test Research, Inc. (TRI), a leading test and inspection systems provider for the electronics manufacturing industry, is continuing its aggressive push into the PCB AOI industry with an exhibit at HKPCA 2011, held at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Shenzhen, China from November 30 through December 2. TRI will place the primary focus of its exhibit on the TR9000 PCB AOI and TR9000 Repair Station systems. Show attendees are encouraged to visit booth E29 to learn more about the company’s automated optical inspection solutions for printed circuit board manufacturers.

The TR9000 PCB AOI and TR9000 Repair Station System

The TR9000 is an AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) system ideal for high-volume manufacturers of mainstream PCBs and touch panels. Designed entirely in-house, the TR9000 implements TRI’s existing AOI expertise to inspect PCB line widths/spaces down to 1.4mil (35 microns). Environmentally-friendly, long-lasting red and blue LEDs are used as a light source to ensure high defect detection rates with low false calls.

The TR9000 PCB AOI can inspect bare copper, flex board, HDI, and photo resist circuit boards up to 675mm x 730mm (27in x 29in). The TR9000 features one-button run that quickly sets the parameters for lighting threshold, alignment, board thickness and etching factor. For added convenience, customers can download their CAM files directly to easily create test programs.

The TR9000 Repair Station offers an 80mm working distance for easy operator access. The optical system provides typical defect-to-defect verification time of 0.5 seconds while the software can display multiple defect images at one time.
