First Vaginal Mesh Lawsuits Scheduled to Begin in November 2012

Press release from: Nadrich & Cohen, LLP
Los Angeles, CA, November 25, 2011 – The first Ethicon Gynecare vaginal mesh lawsuits are scheduled to be heard in New Jersey late next year. More than 350 claims alleging serious vaginal mesh side effects have been consolidated for trial in Superior Court with the Honorable Carol E. Higbee presiding.

Nadrich & Cohen, LLP, a national law firm, is currently investigating claims from women in all 50 states who allege serious injuries after receiving a transvaginal mesh implant. Approximately 600 lawsuits have been filed so far, with that number expected to climb significantly. The law firm has established a new website at ]www.VaginalMeshLegalClaims.com and is currently offering free consultations to women who have been injured by these products.

Vaginal mesh was first approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in 1996, as a means of treating incontinence and other conditions caused by pelvic organ prolapse (POP). This condition causes the pelvic floor muscles to weaken and typically arises after childbirth, weight gain or hysterectomy. Women with POP may experience a constant sensation of pressure, painful intercourse and lower back pain.

Since 2005, the FDA has received over 4,000 complaints from women who claim that transvaginal mesh caused them to experience severe pain, infection, scarring, bleeding, blood vessel damage and in some cases, organ perforation. These complaints lead the FDA to issue new warnings about the use of vaginal mesh implants in July 2011, although whether or not these devices will be pulled off the market remains to be seen.

Women who have suffered these serious side effects may be eligible to receive damages for their medical bills and pain and suffering. Women who visit www.VaginalMeshLegalClaims.com will find the latest news, updates and information on the vaginal mesh lawsuits. They can also complete a confidential contact form for a free initial case evaluation.

The law firm of Nadrich & Cohen, LLP is committed to helping women who have been injured by vaginal mesh get the compensation they’re entitled to. Potential claimants are urged to contact the transvaginal mesh injury experts at Nadrich& Cohen at 1-800-722-0765 to get the experienced legal representation necessary to file a personal injury claim.
