Click a Fix give away free Carbon Monoxide Detectors

Press release from: Click a Fix

(openPR) - With winter’s chilly grasp about to take hold of the UK once again, the natural action is to turn up the fire and the radiators as high as possible. Ask yourself this though; am I aware that my family could be at risk of Carbon Monoxide poisoning? Statistics show that 50% of home owners are not aware of the signs of CO poisoning? CO is absorbed into the bloodstream 240 times faster than oxygen and it starves the body of oxygen. There are over four and a half thousand cases of CO poisoning each year with a total of thirty people dying from it each year. The 21st to the 25th of November is officially Carbon Monoxide awareness week in which people are educated on the potential CO really has.

To coincide with CO awareness week, Click a Fix are doing their part in raising awareness by giving away twenty five Carbon Monoxide detectors, free of charge and without any strings attached.
Managing Director Christopher McGowan made his views very clear about the importance of preventing CO poisoning.
“Carbon Monoxide poisoning is often unintentionally overlooked by people due to a lack of understanding and the poor approach to educating on the matter. It isn’t their fault; it is a subject that needs to be brought to their attention so they can take the necessary steps to protect their families as well as themselves from the threat of CO poisoning. We are aiming to raise awareness this holiday season in Hull & East Riding so we are offering twenty five free Carbon Monoxide Detectors to help get the ball rolling. We feel that CO detectors should have the same stature and importance as a smoke detector, with smoke you will get a warning from your senses, you see and smell smoke. However with Carbon Monoxide there isn’t any way of detecting it before it is too late hence why the CO detectors are vital! Christmas is a time which should be a happy celebrated occasion.”

Click a Fix are holding the free CO Detector give away throughout this week so be sure to get one before they all go!

Just go on to the Click a Fix website and register with them as a New User.

The 25 lucky participants will be notified in December.

The offer ends on the 25th so what are you waiting for? Get clicking!
