November 21, 2011 - Bangalore - The Data Security Council of India (DSCI) announced a partnership with Aujas Networks Pvt. Ltd., a leading Information Risk Management company. The partnership will help clients implement best practice frameworks for Security and Privacy.

India is developing infrastructure in all critical sectors of the economy including Telecom, Financial Services, eGovernance, Financial Inclusion, Energy etc. All these sectors depend upon ICT in a big way, but are vulnerable to attacks from state players and non-state players that can disrupt critical National services. Hence there is serious focus from the Government to secure National critical infrastructure.

DSCI, a not-for-profit company setup by NASSCOM, has a charter to help and educate industry about data security, privacy protection and cyber security. It has published best practice frameworks including the DSCI Security Framework (DSF© ) and the DSCI Privacy Framework (DPF©).

The partnership is aimed at promoting best practices to improve the security and privacy in the Indian industry. Speaking on the occasion Dr. Kamlesh Bajaj, CEO of DSCI said, “In order to bring Indian industry under the secure umbrella of data security, there is need of joint effort from all the industry players. This partnership with Aujas will help companies leverage the pioneering work done by DSCI in the security and privacy domain.”
Aujas, in partnership with DSCI, will help companies implement the DSF and DPF frameworks. Mr. Srinivas Rao, CEO Aujas said, “We are very excited about our partnership with DSCI. We have been helping clients implement Risk Management Frameworks as part of our Risk Advisory practice. This partnership with DSCI adds a new dimension to our offerings and will add considerable value to our clients.”
