RAANDESK PRESENTS 'CONVERSATIONS' - PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY BY JORDANNA KALMAN
Press release from: RAANDESK Gallery of Art
PR Agency: Stark Communications
(openPR) - New York, NY-Sometimes Jordanna Kalman’s inclusion of people in her portraits seems almost happenstance. This is an interesting dynamic since Kalman’s aim when creating them is to “hold onto and make sense of people”, and to describe through the photos how she sees people and what interests her about them. To her, this interaction and the resulting image are a form of conversation because they not only speak about the subject, but also about what the artist finds compelling in the scene as a whole. Working with a variety of photographic techniques in both color and black and white, the mood she creates is inclusive of both object and person, making it difficult to ascertain which is more important. For example, in the attached image “Stairs”, the viewer first engages with a young androgynous figure who gazes back with deeply emotional yet vacant eyes, only to be drawn with equal fervor up the set of ethereal stairs to the right of the figure, thus being forced to fully absorb the scene.

Your portal is fast, simple, and easy to use. Others may have more functions but they also demand more editing time, you have to preformat the text in order to achieve a good result etc.
