(openPR) - Los Angeles, CA (April 30, 2007) – On the heels of an incredibly successful opening-night event, MUTTS, the photography exhibit by acclaimed animal photographer Sharon Montrose, is extending its run at Cisco Home (440 N. La Brea Avenue, 90036) in Los Angeles. Originally scheduled for a week-long display, the upscale furniture showroom will continue to house Montrose’s photographs for an additional three weeks ending Sunday, May 27th.
With her fine art collection, Montrose aims to elevate the status of these beloved but underappreciated companions. Lovingly training her camera’s eye on these one-of-a-kind canines, she unleashes the intelligence, cockiness, loyalty, energy, good looks, and sheer irresistibility of the mixed-breed dog. The exhibit presents 19 images selected from Montrose's newly-released, beautifully photographed and impeccably designed book, MUTTS (Stewart, Tabori & Chang). The pieces, offered in limited editions of ten, are enlarged to a stunning 36” x 40” size. Mounted flush and sealed beneath a layer of glossy plexi-glass, each portrait gorgeously captures the honesty and affection of these hounds of varied province. A treat for the eye, as well as the heart, the MUTTS portraits are sure to be appreciated by dog-lovers and fine art lovers alike.
