(openPR) - Berlin Heart GmbH announced that Robert Kroslowitz, Vice President Clinical Affairs at Berlin Heart Inc. in The Woodlands, Texas, has been appointed President and CEO of the company’s North American Operations.

Robert Kroslowitz joined Berlin Heart in December 2005. Prior to joining Berlin Heart, Robert was employed as Director of Clinical Operations and head of other established corporations. He also possesses longstanding clinical and research experience in the cardiovascular space having served as director of several clinical departments in well-known US medical centers. Since joining Berlin Heart, he has significantly contributed to building the US operations, the development of the North American market and has played a leading role in the FDA approval process, which the company is running for its pediatric heart assist device “EXCOR® Pediatric” in the US. With his enormous knowledge, his operational abilities and his tireless work for patients suffering from heart failure, Berlin Heart chose to appoint him as the new CEO. In his new position he will take over the complete management of the US business.
