Oxford Dictionaries updates online Hangman game with words suggested by their Twitter followers

Oxford Dictionaries Online has updated its free online Hangman puzzle game with interesting words suggested by their Twitter followers. Word lovers from across the globe suggested words such as flummox, grandiose, and pharaoh, which have now been added to the word game. “We wanted to give our loyal followers the chance to contribute to the puzzle because we know how much they enjoy playing it,” said Daniel Stewart, Head of Marketing for Oxford Dictionaries. “We asked them to come up with words that were interesting but not unsolvable, and they certainly rose to the challenge. Hundreds of tricky English words were submitted, and many are now part of the puzzle. Hangman has proved to be amongst the most popular free word games on our website, and it is regularly played by both native English speakers and those who want an enjoyable way to improve their English.”
