DigtaSoft 4.8 now supports new Digta 7 notification function
Press release from: Grundig Business Systems
Current version of speech processing software allows easier dictation search
London, 13 October, 2011 – Effective immediately, version 4.8 of the DigtaSoft language processing software is available. This version supports additional functions of the Digta 7 mobile dictation device series from Grundig Business Systems (GBS). A new feature is the notification function, also called “Digta Messaging Service”, available with DigtaSoft Pro. This feature allows a notification to be sent to an author when one of his dictations has been completed by his secretarial staff. To activate this function, the author must change the settings of his device so that he receives status updates for his dictations. Thereafter, each time the Digta 7 is connected to a PC that has access to the dictation device’s network, the status of each dictation is updated. If the dictation has been completed and a copy has been left on the dictation device for back-up purposes only, the author will receive a prompt asking whether he wishes to delete the copy.
The new dynamic filter in the dictation overview makes it easy for both the author and the secretarial staff to find a desired dictation. Both parties can filter the contents in certain columns as much as required. Additionally, Digta Pro 4.8 will now support 64-bit as well as 32-bit clients. Version 4.8 of both DigtaSoft and DigtaSoft One can be downloaded free from the GBS website www.grundig-gbs.com by visiting Service/Downloads/PC Software. The most current version of DigtaSoft Pro can be downloaded for a license fee.
“Digta 7” series includes many innovations
It was only at the beginning of the year that GBS launched the “Digta 7” series of dictation devices. Since July, it has also offered a device with an integrated Bluetooth module. “With the Digta 7 BT, dictations can for the first time be transferred from a dictation device to a BlackBerry for mobile transmission,” said GBS Managing Director Roland Hollstein.
Another world first for the dictation device sector is the slide switch with touch pin, which three of the four devices in the series are equipped with. The touch pin allows the position of the slide switch to be monitored by touch, since the touch pin always pops up when the slide switch reaches the “stop” position.
