Electronic Signature Solution Streamlines Home Health Care Providers’ Billing Processc

The partnership- finalized in September- came about after observing that while much of the health care industry has gone digital, there is one task that remains primitive. To bill Medicare, home health providers must drop off documents to the referring doctor to sign, which wastes paper and time.
Now with the integration of Sertifi, this step has been automated.
This partnership is not the first contact that HCSS has had with Sertifi. In June, HCSS started using the esignatures tracking solution created by Sertifi for Salesforce.com to manage their sales contracts.
“We were first introduced to Sertifi through Salesforce.com,” said Michelle Harper, national sales manager at HCSS. “Within the first month, the turnaround time on our contracts had reduced dramatically, not to mention the amount of money saved from eliminated postage. We quickly identified Sertifi as a tool we could integrate into CareSmart AMS that would provide the same results to our home health agencies; increase efficiency, reduce turn-around time for documents such as the face-to-face and plan-of-care forms while providing an almost immediate return on investment.”
Since becoming a reseller for Sertifi in September, HCSS has signed one of their approximately 275 clients, D’First Home Health Care in Miami.
“The benefits that Sertifi can provide to home health care companies are endless,” said Hamilton Temple, Sertifi’s sales director who oversees the health care market segment. “By replacing the pen and paper process with an electronic signature solution, their referring physicians can review, sign and return a face-to-face form or care plan in minutes.”
