AiNET Awarded GSA Schedule 70 Contract for Data Center and Cloud Services
Press release from: AiNET
Beltsville, MD – September 29, 2011 - AiNET®, a leader in design, construction, operations, and technology solutions for Internet data centers and optical fiber networks supporting critical applications, today announced that it has been awarded a U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule 70 Contract for Information Technology services (contract number GS-35F-0473X). In line with the Government shifting to a model of using commercial data centers and Cloud services, the contract addresses a full range of data center infrastructure and application services.
Many agencies establish Government-wide contracts, which simplify the procurement process for federal agencies by allowing them to acquire a vast array of products and services directly from commercial suppliers. The largest Government-wide contracts are established by the U.S. General Services Administration under its GSA Schedules Program (also referred to as Federal Supply Schedules and Multiple Award Schedules). State and local governments also use the GSA schedules for purchasing goods and services.
"AiNET’s GSA Schedule 70 offers qualified agencies the ability to order an entire data center and related cloud services by CLIN,” said Deepak Jain, President of AiNET. “All components of colocation, cloud hosting, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Trusted Storage as a Service (TSaaS), web hosting, and other managed and professional services, are all available from a single source. For Agencies struggling with Data Center Consolidation (DCCI) and power, space and cooling challenges related to virtualization, AiNET’s GSA contract vehicle can provide critical solutions.”
GSA Schedules provide access to more than 11 million commercial supplies (products) and services at volume discount pricing that can be ordered directly from GSA Schedule contractors or through the GSA Advantage! online shopping and ordering system.
AiNET’s Trusted Storage as a Service is based upon its own SAN solution, the AiNET Peta10. AiNET products and services are also available via the ITES-2S and NETCENTS contracts.
