During the CPhI Fair from 25-27 October 2011 in Frankfurt, PANATecs was nominated for the 2011 CPhI Innovation Award

The application for the 2011 CPhI Innovation Award 2011 was based on the P-CHECK® technology, which exploits the FRET phenomenon (Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer) and is used to demonstrate protease contamination in various areas.
P-CHECK® technology is primarily used to detect protease contamination in protein-based raw materials used in diagnostic testing, as well as in the manufacture (USP) and purification (DSP) of biopharmaceuticals.
In contrast to other tests, P-CHECK® allows the universal detection of both known and unknown proteases. This is made possible by using a newly developed universal substrate, based on a peptide library covering more than 2 million sequence variants.

The P-CHECK® technology will be presented to the CPhI Innovation Award Jury on 25 October 2011 at 12:30-12:50 in Hall 5.1 at Stand 51D02. The presenter is Dr. Thomas Flad, CSO and Head of Sales at PANATecs. Anyone interested in important new technical developments is invited to attend.

PANATecs will also answer all questions related to P-CHECK® and protein analysis based on mass spectrometry at Stand 41B42 in Hall 4.1.
