"The Art of Fugue" by Johann Sebastian Bach. An internal look at the CD launched by Mehmet Okonsar, pianist, composer, conductor and musicologist of Turkish sources.

The work is performed over a stunning organ created on Baroque organ designs.

Mehmet Okonsar set the tracks order of the CD in a way that the Fugues are grouped by genres i.e. "simple fugues", "rhythmical variations", "inverted fugues" and so forth; all performed on organ and he interjected in between them the varied canons that he performed on harpsichord.

The Belgian pianist (but additionally composer, conductor and musicologist) Mehmet Okonsar was born in the "bridge-city" of Istanbul. Mehmet Okonsar, a Belgian pianist, composer, conductor and musicologist was born in Istanbul, Turkey. He studied piano, composition and orchestration at the Brussels Royal Conservatory and musicology at the Istanbul Technical University. His primary teachers were J. Cl. Vanden Eynden and Alexis Weissenberg for the piano and Madame Jacqueline Fontyn for composition. He is laureate of numerous international piano competitions including the Gina Bachauer. Besides his international concertist carrier he is also prolific writer. Okonsar is an independent artist, he runs his own management bureau, his CD label: LMO-Records and his publishing house: "Inventor-Musicae". Actively involved in the World Wide Web, Mehmet Okonsar is the founder of the classical music and musicology dedicated blog-site:"inventor-musicae.com" as well as the first classical-music video portal: "classicalvideos.net".
