Accepting the HBJ Fast 100 award for SSD are (from left) Matt Hollis, David York and James Cooper.

The Houston Business Journal held a luncheon on Friday, September 23, at the Hilton Americas to reveal the 2011 Fast 100 list. The nominations were opened on June 13 to local area businesses meeting specific criteria requirements. A list was compiled from data submitted by privately owned Houston businesses, using financial information from 2008-2010.

Server Side Design (SSD), website promotion company, showed a significant growth increase of 215.79% for 2010. David York, Matt Hollis and James Cooper were on hand to accept the award and acknowledged the significance of being awarded ninth place, especially considering Server Side Design is a relatively young company.

Roger Janik, who founded Server Side Design in 2005, expressed appreciation and excitement with his staff for the recognition received, “This is proof of what an incredibly talented team we’ve assembled. We’ve all heard horror stories concerning our economy, so the significance of this award speaks volumes about our ability to maintain growth in a time when the economy is in a downturn. Our team showed the tenacity and focus required to meet the demands of a growing business. We’re shooting for #1 next year!”

The Fast 100 is an annual list that has been awarded by The Houston Business Journal since 2007. A full list of Houston Fast 100 can be viewed in the print edition of the Houston Business Journal or online at http://www.bizjournals.com/houston/news/2011/09/23/hbj-reveals-100-fastest-growing.html.
