Semaphore, the Content Intelligence Platform developed by Smartlogic to enhance all information management systems, has been officially named by KMWorld Magazine as a 'Trend-Setting Product' for the second year running.

Smartlogic, a software company that specialises in Content Intelligence has been awarded KMWorld’s prestigious Trendsetter Award for the second consecutive year.
Smartlogic, the makers and developers of the Content Intelligence Platform 'Semaphore', was chosen over some heavyweight competition in the field of knowledge management, with its Semaphore software selected from over 800 entries to retain its sought–after position on the KMWorld 'Trend-Setting Product' List 2011.
According to the KMWorld judges, led by Hugh McKellar, editor-in-chief of KMWorld and final decision-maker, Semaphore was singled out for its unique component capabilities to analyse, classify and reveal content by offering ontology management, content classification, text mining and semantic analysis .
With a notably rigorous selection criteria, achieving a place on the Trend-Setting Product list is by no means easy. Each and every product chosen by the panel this year was expected to emphasise a shared understanding of knowledge management that McKellar describes as "an attitude [and] an approach to delivering the right information to the right people throughout the entire constituency chain, users and customers alike'.
"For this year's list", he continues, "the judging panel of colleagues, analysts, system integrators and users evaluated more than 800 products.
