VSO Software announces the release of a new freeware: VSO Downloader.
The freeware enables download from thousands of online video sites, including Youtube and Megavideo.
VSO Downloader automatically detects and downloads streaming videos and audio files while surfing the internet. The software works “in the background”, making it compatible with any web browser and supporting the various forms of streaming content. The clear and minimalist style interface allows straightforward use.
“The automatic detection of audio and video files makes the software an easy to use tool: there is no need to copy and paste urls, all you need to do is decide whether or not the video is worth downloading”, explains Benjamin Leveque, VSO Downloader developer. He adds: “We aim to add more features and support even more sites in the coming months”.
Among the user-friendly features offered by the program, there is an integrated ad blocker that detects and prevents any unwanted advertising videos to be downloaded. The original file names are also detected and a resume function starts the download where it left off. VSO Downloader uses a Multithread algorithm to speed up the download process. It supports the main VPNs and proxy servers, as well as SOCKS5 protocols and HTTP.
