Celebrations Galore at Jamuna Mishra Academy - JMA Pilani Rajasthan

(openPR) - Located in the heart of Shekhawati region of Rajasthan, Pilani is well known in India today for various top ranking educational institutions, CSIR Laboratory CEERI as well as the upcoming BrahMos Missile Assembly Project unit.
Jamuna Mishra Academy – JMA established in the year 2004 which has been making rapid strides in early childhood education is presently one among the top ranking and most sought after schools at Pilani Rajasthan. JMA which started in 2004 with an enrollment of 60 students for the Nursery, LKG, First Junior and Class1 has grown today till Class VIII with well over 500 students.
While the school admits both boys and girls, the girl student enrollment has been steadily rising every year and is presently close to 50% of the total strength which itself is a matter of pride in a state like Rajasthan which had alarmingly low record of girl’s education. JMA Pilani regularly celebrates various days of national and international significance.
On 14 September 2011, JMA observed Hindi Diwas Day and in her address to the students Principal Mrs Booma Natarajan pointed out that it was on this day in 1949, the Constitution-makers of India decided to accord the status of Official Language of the Union to Hindi written in Devanagari script. Mrs Alka Sharma, Hindi teacher spoke at length about the beauty of the language and had a word of praise for Vishal Sheoran and Himakshi Alaria who participated in Itihas Parishad All India Hindi Debate competition held at Birla School Pilani on 10 September 2011 as well the JMA team which participated in patriotic song competition held at Birla Public School on 14 August 2011.
On September 15, 2011 which is observed as Engineers Day in India as a mark of respect to Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, the Principal advised the students of the school to work hard to become dreamers, performers and achievers to earn name and fame as successful engineers.
On September 16, 2011 which is observed as International Ozone Day, the Principal shared details of the significance of the day and emphasized on the urgent need to protect the ozone layer from getting depleted by use of refrigerators, air-conditioners, fire extinguishers etc containing ODS - Ozone Depleting Substances.
On September 17, 2011 which is observed in India as Vishwakarma Puja in honour of the divine architect and engineer, Principal said that it will be a matter of pride for the school if some student of JMA during his / her life time bags the Vishwakarma Rashtriya Puraskar (VRP) given by the Ministry of Labour Government of India For more details about JMA Pilani see www.jma-pilani.page.tl/
