mamemo to produce historic GCC Games Opening Ceremony in Bahrain

(openPR) - mamemo productions is proud to announce its appointment by the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) and Netizen, to create and produce the opening ceremony of the first ever GCC Games, officially named Bahrain 11, which will be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain’s National Stadium on October 11, 2011.

Managing & Creative Director Sam Katiela personally presented the event concept to the BOC, led by HH Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth & Sport and BOC President; HE Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, CEO and HE Sheikh Ahmed Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Secretary-General. After the presentation, HH Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa expressed his satisfaction with the quality of work of mamemo productions.

“We are very honored to have been chosen for this historic event, where representatives from all GCC states will be attending”, remarked Sam Katiela. “Our team is fully dedicated to make sure that the opening ceremonies will be a memorable event for all members of the live and broadcast audiences.”
mamemo productions is working closely with Khalid Al-Doseri, Chairman of Netizen, the official Communication & Commercial Partner of Bahrain 11 and Abu Dhabi TV, the official broadcaster of the Games.

Sam Katiela appointed award-winning composer Christian Steinhäuser to produce the music for the event. He is internationally known for fusing grand orchestral sounds with modern instruments in his cross-media operas and major TV, movie, and production soundtracks in such projects as the Opening Show of the 2010 Shanghai Expo, the DSF Olympic Trailer of Salt Lake City, and the official commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall.
