The emails all looked very official, and they requested that the customers verify their account information and pin number. We had several customers who trusted that these emails were real and responded to them. Fortunately, we were able to cover their losses, but these consumers felt violated,” continued Patel.

As a member of the ForAccess Advisory Board, Patel hopes to help the group by focusing on the banking and financial issues that concern consumers and professionals. “My experience in the banking industry will hopefully prove helpful to members needing insight into the changes occurring in financing and crediting,” said Patel.
